Regattas produce medals in clusters
Sprint, slalom, marathon, K1 and K2, singles and crews. A national regatta weekend can send one paddler home with three, and then nothing until the next one. It is the clustering that beats a shelf — three arrive together and there is nowhere sensible to put them.
A rail absorbs that without rearranging anything. Hooks give a fixed number of slots; a continuous bar takes whatever fits along it, so the display grows with the season instead of filling up and stopping.
Crew boats mean several people receive the same medal. Clubs sometimes order a set of these at once for a winning crew, which is worth asking about if you are buying more than two.
The same medal display is cut in several widths. Buying as a gift? Count what is already in the drawer and go one size up.
Size & capacity
| Size | Steel | 1 rail | 2 rails | 3 rails |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 45 x 8 cm | 2.5 mm | 13-20 | 24-36 | 34-50 |
| 60 x 11 cm | 3 mm | 21-30 | 38-55 | 55-75 |
| 75 x 11.5 cm | 3 mm | 31-45 | 55-80 | 75-110 |
Not sure which size?
A paddler doing sprint and marathon in the same season will double what a single-discipline athlete collects. Size for both. This design is produced from 45 cm upwards — the cut-out detail doesn't hold at smaller widths.
Why stainless steel, not painted sheet metal
The medal hanger is cut from AISI 304 stainless steel (V2A / 1.4301), 2.5-3 mm thick depending on the width. Not painted sheet metal that chips at the first knock.
And it holds a continuous rail, not hooks. Twelve hooks means twelve medals. A rail holds as many as fit.
Putting it up
The standoffs hold it a centimetre off the wall, which is what gives the shadow line. Template, screws and plugs are included; you need a drill and ten minutes.
After the first one is full
They're made to pair. A second unit sits flush against the first and the run reads as a single display. The widest version holds up to 110 medals across three rails.
Shipping & returns
This medal hanger is made in the EU in our own workshop and dispatched in 3–5 working days. Fourteen days to return it.
